Caroline Hirons turned me to this gem. I’m kinda in love with it.
I have combination skin that runs dry and oily, prone to breakouts–especially with oils. Most cleansing oils don’t work for me; even if there’s one that works, the journey doesn’t seem worth the payoff. (Those breakouts are easy to trigger but hard to exterminate)
This cleansing butter is perfect for those who’s got a love-hate relationship with oils.
Here’s the off-white miracle balm that gives in softer than real butter. It …
- Gets make up off
- Doesn’t leave a residue
- Is not drying
- Is gentle. No breakouts.
It is a bit of a hassle to manage. Your hands should be clean before touching the butter, lest you contaminate the rest.
Here’s a teeny red heart. (Cameo: BH Cosmetics Lip Liner in “Retro”) It’s cute but has to go.
Spread a mini dollop of cleansing butter on the teeny heart.
The butter melts into a gentle, oily gel when in contact with warm skin.
Rub gently in a circular motion for about a minute then wash off the residue. There will be nothing left behind.
For my evening double cleansing, I use this right after a swipe of Bioderma. Everything goes off and my skin is left moist, not dry.
$16 might be a tad pricey, but the Body Shop often has promotions like this where everything goes on sale (and free shipping to boot).
I often stock up on 2-3 of these during the sale. That lasts me for half a year or more.
