(During Sephora Weekly Wow Deal: $10)
I’ve always loved Bite “Meritage” and several of their Amuse Bouche lipsticks, so it’s no surprise the Weekly Wow stopped me in my tracks.
There’s a saying in Korea about how sparrows can never pass by a grain mill without dropping in (totally butchering the translation btw); in this case, the mill is Sephora; the grain is Chablis.
The “Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencils” are a mere $10 during the Sephora weekly wow sale, so if you’re looking to add one to your stash, now’s the time.

As usual, ingredients list.
You receive 0.09 oz (2.52g) of product.
Color in Chablis. 98% of product is consisted of natural ingredients.
Bite lip products actually taste good. (The smell…used to be better I think, if you think of the old lipsticks versus the reformulated ones.)
Chablis is described as a “soft coral rose,” but I actually found this to be a bright coral. There is definitely some rosiness to it, but it feels more saturated and brighter than what I’d consider a “soft rosy coral.”
Skin swatch in natural light. Beautiful deep coral rose.
Shade on the right is “Meritage,” (another winter favorite of mine) for comparison.
On balmed bare lips + sunscreen-ed skin. Chablis is a gorgeous color if you’re into bright, rosy corals. This goes on smooth but slightly messy; it slides around so a steady hand is a must.
Finish is satin-matte. Then again, everything feels matte on my dry lips.
Glad I bought it. I should pick up more before the sale ends.

“English Pear & Freesia” almost feels iconic. It’s the go-to scent that people usually recommend when someone asks them “what should I get for my first JoMalone scent?”… at least, that’s the case with people around me.
List of ingredients. You receive 8.5oz / 250 ml.
The lotion feels moisturizing and non-tacky. It spreads easy and sinks into the skin within a few seconds to minutes depending on how much you use.
This layers well with most other floral/sweet/fresh perfumes I own, such as Viktor&Rolf FlowerBomb, Fresh Hesperides, most Anna Sui perfumes, Tocca perfumes etc.
Lunasol is known for its subtle yet dazzling shimmer, which (despite sounding oxymoronic) is the only way I can describe it. Even the casing here seems to echo that subtle, gorgeous shimmer.
I was given a choice among these beauties:
Ingredients are unfortunately written in Japanese.
All four shades contain a light iridescence that doesn’t go overboard. Unlike many other shadows, the glitter stays on your lids and doesn’t scream “Notice me!…before I fall everywhere.”
From left to right, shades I named arbitrarily because they have no name.

This is the embodiment of kidult (kid + adult) culture; it has all the makings of a cute toy, but with a collectible twist.
Just look at this beauty. I’ve no words for it; it speaks for itself. It’s plastic but feels heavy enough, doesn’t look cheap. Perfect as a decoration.
This holds 21 shades in mattes, shimmers, and satin finishes.
And this beauty. The highlighter is a two-parter, and holds one part champagne and one part rose-gold powder shimmers.
Now some of the cons:
So instead of throwing out the jar, I decided to reuse the leftover wax and move it to a smaller vessel, leaving the sturdy jar free for all kinds of uses. (Pinterest had tons of ideas for reusing these jars)
1. Scrape out chunks of leftover wax from the 3-wick BBW jars. (This is easier if you leave them in the fridge overnight. The frozen wax will have fissures running through its body; all you have to do is insert your butter knife into the cracks)
2. Prepare the cup. Press a small dollop of all-purpose cement/glue on the bottom of the wick and press it gently onto the bottom of the cup. Make sure the wick is placed at the center of the cup.
3. Melt the wax by double boiling. This was much like melting chocolate.
4. Let the wax melt in low heat until it’s clear.
5. Make sure the prewaxed wick stands straight in the middle. Use pens to prop it up if necessary.
6. Let it stand.
Items arrived earlier, around Jan 8.
Theme of the first box is “Jetsetter.”
Mostly happy to try Sleek makeup and the clay mask. Am saving that serum for traveling purposes, since I have a million skincare DS open at the moment.
As per usual, Target doesn’t forget to add on a coupon for $5 off $20, expiring at Feb 4.
Second box. Theme is “Staycay.” I’m kinda loving the blue ombre.
This was a decent box. I prefer this just a bit more to the first box. You get seven items for $7, bringing down the price of each item to $1.
Another coupon, this time, for $3 off $15.
All in all, good boxes.
This is a two-parter mask. There’s a step 1 and step 2, each of which uses different portions of the mask.
Why hello you sexy expensive thing.
Not that big, considering what you paid for.
Pretty. Very chrome.
DreamDuo is a night treatment.
A plastic cover for sanitary reasons.
DREAMSERUM (pearl) is a melt-in face serum that infuses antiaging antioxidants into the skin, while supercharged essential vitamins support an even, flawless complexion.
DREAM SERUM feels like a mildly sticky gel. It glides around but is absorbed pretty quickly. Smells strongly of orange creamsicle and toffee.
“Shoot for the Stars” was a part of the LUSH “Christmas Bathtime Favorites” set my SO gifted me.
This has bergamot and Brazilian orange oil, but it doesn’t smell too citrusy. It had a more toffee-floral scent, if that makes sense. Very small hint of citrus.

Here’s a color-corrected version, though it still doesn’t do this bomb justice.
When you smoosh the leftover stars, you get this golden glitter goo that feels just like a rice-powder scrub, grainy and slick.
After bath. If you look closely, you can see residue glitter sparkling on the surface.

This was a great assortment of bath treats.
These came wrapped nice and tight with packing peanuts, which I removed for sake of presentation. Smells like heaven.
Second floor:
First off, a dear friend sent me a box of goodies from Japan!
